Refilwe Lepelle is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town and a Research Associate at the Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU) and Policy Research on International Services and Manufacturing (PRISM). Her research focuses on international trade, labour markets, development economics, structural transformation, and gender. She has consulted for the World Bank on trade facilitation and gender. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cape Town. Before joining academia, she worked as an industry and country analyst at the Industrial Development Corporation.
